It’s been a couple of wild months here. Ever since printing Unlikely Sanctuary (vol 01), I’ve finished vol. (02), written the first draft of a novel, and even spiraled into fits of creative depression. I told myself I wasn’t going to create art again until I had a logical, concrete reason to do so. I was tired of living my life from project to project, emotionally crashing when each piece came to a finish. However, this week I realized that for some people, one of the only things they know how to do is art. So I picked up my pencil and started drawing my next series… not for any reason other than the fact that it felt good. It has elevated me since back into the world of normality!
Haha I thought I would share a little slice of my process with you. If you’re an artist and for whatever reason you have stopped creating art, I suggest doing whatever it takes to work it into your life–even in small ways. It can be very rewarding. But back to business…
I will be selling copies of Unlikely Sanctuary (vol. 01) at Otafest 2016! Otafest will be located in Calgary, Alberta at the Telus Convention centre, from July 1-3. Come check it out if you’re interested in manga, anime, and other forms of Japanese entertainment. I’ll be at a table in the artist alley. https://otafest.com/
As well, it’s only in the most minor form of the works, but things are in motion to get vol. 02 printed! I will keep you posted!
Thanks for reading!!
