Thank you!

I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who bought a copy of Unlikely Sanctuary this weekend at Otafest 2016. It means so much that you would choose to walk these fictional realms with me! Really, it’s more than any author could wish for.

Thank you as well to everybody who even just came by and said hello! This was an incredible weekend and a fantastic way to kick off the summer, I couldn’t have wished for anything better.

Updates to come of future conventions and appearances. Have a beautiful July everybody.

Otafest reminder

Don’t forget that Unlikely Sanctuary will be at Otafest this year! Please come say hello in artist alley if you’re attending!

The festival runs July 1-3 in the Telus Convention Centre.

Unlikely Sanctuary at Otafest!

Hello everyone!

It’s been a couple of wild months here. Ever since printing Unlikely Sanctuary (vol 01), I’ve finished vol. (02), written the first draft of a novel, and even spiraled into fits of creative depression. I told myself I wasn’t going to create art again until I had a logical, concrete reason to do so. I was tired of living my life from project to project, emotionally crashing when each piece came to a finish. However, this week I realized that for some people, one of the only things they know how to do is art. So I picked up my pencil and started drawing my next series… not for any reason other than the fact that it felt good. It has elevated me since back into the world of normality!

Haha I thought I would share a little slice of my process with you. If you’re an artist and for whatever reason you have stopped creating art, I suggest doing whatever it takes to work it into your life–even in small ways. It can be very rewarding. But back to business…

I will be selling copies of Unlikely Sanctuary (vol. 01) at Otafest 2016! Otafest will be located in Calgary, Alberta at the Telus Convention centre, from July 1-3. Come check it out if you’re interested in manga, anime, and other forms of Japanese entertainment. I’ll be at a table in the artist alley.

As well, it’s only in the most minor form of the works, but things are in motion to get vol. 02 printed! I will keep you posted!

Thanks for reading!!

Update on the books!

So I’ve just received word that the first run of Unlikely Sanctuary could be printed and pressed as early as this Monday! I’m really excited to crack open that box and smell the fresh ink.

Funny enough, just as volume one is about to be printed, I’m almost finished volume 2. I’m grateful that my creative fuels haven’t run out yet. Will there be a volume 3? Most likely. But before I get ahead of myself, I will be letting you know where and how to get a copy of Unlikely Sanctuary vol. 01 soon!

As usual, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Printing Progress

The first proof from Unlikely Sanctuary has officially arrived, and with it, the first round of edits has commenced. It’s both thrilling and nerve-wracking to see my work in hard copy!

Once the books are finished and printed I will release details on where to get them! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy New Year everybody!

Preview #5

This update brings us to the end of chapter 1 (Pages 26-28)!  After meeting with his tutor, Monty Bounder, for the first time, Elyot heads back to his room where he is confronted by his two room mates. Why do they hate Monty so much?

I’m meeting with the printer this Friday, so that will determine whether or not I will continue to post previews after this point. Thank you as always for reading!

Preview #4

Hello everyone! Exciting news – I have a meeting with a printer in a couple weeks to see about getting Unlikely Sanctuary in hard copy! In the meantime, here is the weekly preview (pages 21-25).

Just what is it that makes Monty tick? Elyot still doesn’t know, but he’s finding out that it’s harder than he expected to keep it together in the presence of his surly tutor.
